May you always have work for your hands to do. May your pocket hold always a coin or two. May the sun shine bright on your windowpane. May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain. May the hand of a friend always be near you. And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you. I hope you find contentment. Maybe not swiftly, but surely.

Rant

I deserve this rant.
Normally when weekends are over, the nightmares began.
And so the music begins.
It all started with my prone of loosing important documents.
I was unable to recall any trace of the whereabouts of my IC since last week (this is the fifth time, so I'm totally unsurprised)
In the mean time, the school admin asks for my Maybank Verification.
So I rushed to Leisure Mall in Cheras to get to the Celcom Branch just to check if I left my IC there.
And so to my astonishment Cheras Celcom branch is having a day off, due to the Wilayah public holiday.
There goes my good for nothing RM3 parking fee and RM4 toll back and forth.
Then I came back to Seri Kembangan Maybank Branch.
And it suddenly dawned on me that this procedure doesn't need my IC.
I laughed it off, and downed some coffee.

A small lesson learned.
Never let go of my temper no matter how hot-headed I am.
This is because after weeks of zen practice, my boiling point of endurance and toleration has risen a note.
I realized walking in a classroom unarmed IS zen practice.
Walking in and out of a noisy classroom untouched and poised is my next virtual goal.

Old-cher

I've been missing in action for a while now, not that I'm in any important mission.
But three weeks of teaching has gotten me SO OLD.
I'm completely immersed and absorbed into the commitment towards work to the extent of never before.
But I'm not giving up on my life, just yet.
There's this excellent international group I've been yearning to join in, Raleigh International. although it won't materialize in these few weeks, but in months it shall.
They have activities like charity, garage sales, hiking and places hopping, which is exactly the things you need to do to feel young again.
*Cough* Yeah, and healthy again.
Fingers crossed for my darling to get through his tough times.

Teachership

I made a terrible mistake. Well, among the other little mistakes I've made, this was the biggest ever so far.
I directed a bunch of students to play under the sun, overlooking the fact that they might "crash and burn".
It was in the middle of the basketball court. Parents and on-lookers were outside the gate. They saw it, and some wanted to sue me because I was being said torturing them.
The teacher on duty quickly pushed me aside to have a word.
I then retreated into the class, along with the exhausted kids.
Lesson learnt. Never let them under the scorching sun. I might get so sued.
I'm scared of the fact that some kids might break down into a very bad fever because of this.
And with that, I'm also sick with a scratched voicebox.
Truth to tell, teacher-ship has taken a toll on me.
I'm also mighty afraid to end up behind bars of Tanjung Rambutan, as said the place have extra places for patients of former teachers.
The problem is teachers who can't cope ends up haywire.
Oh I wish in the future, teachers get benefits like anti-depressants, so that we don't have to pay a fortune for a life supply.
