May you always have work for your hands to do. May your pocket hold always a coin or two. May the sun shine bright on your windowpane. May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain. May the hand of a friend always be near you. And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you. I hope you find contentment. Maybe not swiftly, but surely.

27-11-12

Before November ends, I would like to propose a toast to things I've achieved this year:
1. Successfully with self-help books learn ways of self-regulation
2. Brought parents for a trip at Lembing
3. Eat healthy at most times
4. Had most wonderful times with the S6 kids
5. Ran 21 kms twice, conquered a few mountains that aren't major
6. Places of travel: Penang and Singapore

In the mean time, I would like to set up some goals for the following months as well:
1. start a blog of the refashionista in me, whilst selling a few home made items
2. Advance in culinary (especially mom and dad's recipes)
3. Loose around 6-10kgs
4. Finish my studies with flying colors (or at least a decent pass)
5. Climb more mountains and plant more trees!

Also, with great enthusiasm, a few ideas that could cultivate in time (for the government and private sectors):
1. Public transportation in ALL areas of Malaysia. Link them and tag them in point of interest billboards. Transform Malaysia into a hub of technology and nature. NO LYNAS.
2. Invest in recyclable energy. Solar and water. Make a statement in environment preservation. That includes household usage.
3. Clear our rivers and sea. Build more preservation areas.
4. Equal education opportunities. Focus on human resources.
5. Change all books into tablets in school.
6. Build more educational centers on vocational skills FOR ADULTS.
7. Express art and culture more frequently in communities.

4-11-12

Yes, I'm planning it. Planning for the big day. No, not engaged yet, no pressure there. But I've seen people who has been prepared for their whole lives. Lol. So it doesnt hurt.

So now, What should I do? Prepare a list. I love lists for frugal brides.

1. First things first, loose some weight. Yes, so I'm going to gym whilst dieting. The last thing I need is people nagging me about my figure, lol.

2. Save some money. Lol yes, with the pace I'm having now, I would be saving a few ks in a year? My gosh, money don't come easy don't they.

3. Plan my career. After masters, I would try pursuing phd, at the same time teaching in a maktab, because I don't wanna loose my bond with the government, don't I? Later will try pushing my head into a university, which ever excepts me. Lol

There that's long term goal. Now for the mid term goal.

1. Pre-wedding photoshoot: No fake pics, just simple, meaningful and cute ones. Start a wedding portfolio with picture clips. Allocate 200 to it. Hmm

2. Wedding dinner, around 1k per table. 20 tables? No need for fancy ones, local and tasty is good enough. Lol that makes 20k, bloody hell. Allocate 20k. But we'll get at least half of it back now, don't we? I'll collect some deco pics for the wedding hall. DIY will do.

3. Wedding gown and brides maid dress. Self-made. So now, I'll need a freaking sewing machine and some patterns. Allocate 300.

4. Wedding day and make up. Will hire an mua. Allocate 200.

5. Miscelaneous. Ang pao, liquor and stuff. 1k.

6. What's the total? 22,000. Shit, weddings are freaking expensive. Sweat....

So now I need a portfolio, sewing machine, start collecting liquor, and materials.

Oh yea, and freaking masters degree in pending. Lol.
