I made a terrible mistake. Well, among the other little mistakes I've made, this was the biggest ever so far.
I directed a bunch of students to play under the sun, overlooking the fact that they might "crash and burn".
It was in the middle of the basketball court. Parents and on-lookers were outside the gate. They saw it, and some wanted to sue me because I was being said torturing them.
The teacher on duty quickly pushed me aside to have a word.
I then retreated into the class, along with the exhausted kids.
Lesson learnt. Never let them under the scorching sun. I might get so sued.
I'm scared of the fact that some kids might break down into a very bad fever because of this.
And with that, I'm also sick with a scratched voicebox.
Truth to tell, teacher-ship has taken a toll on me.
I'm also mighty afraid to end up behind bars of Tanjung Rambutan, as said the place have extra places for patients of former teachers.
The problem is teachers who can't cope ends up haywire.
Oh I wish in the future, teachers get benefits like anti-depressants, so that we don't have to pay a fortune for a life supply.
back in the days we just can't wait to get under the sun, remember once in year 4 our class teacher brought us out to the field to play some games and i'm pretty sure that it was some where around noon, the heat was off the roof. at that very moment nobody seems to give a damn.
i think u still can do this kind of things but in a small less populated community, where everybody knows each others a close community.
i bet u enjoy watching gto, well i did very much teaching kinda linger in my mind, but i came to my sense when i took a look on these day's parenting. u dont hear much of kids talking about their whopping experience the night before or see much of the battle scar, hahaha
but the sad fact is all those stuff we love about teachers and their style are belong to the museum now. these sad pathetic homo-sapiens treasure their younglings that they're so fragile, making the parenting spiralling down into the drain. well that is that it's only my own pov of most malaysian parenting but not all is bad tbh well there are good ones around.
