May you always have work for your hands to do. May your pocket hold always a coin or two. May the sun shine bright on your windowpane. May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain. May the hand of a friend always be near you. And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you. I hope you find contentment. Maybe not swiftly, but surely.

Some like it hot

It was drizzling last night, but the morning after was hot and humid.

I tried to peel my eyelids open with willpower but to no avail. Soon after I reach the school car parking lot, my body battery died off right away.

Today's a slow day. I wore a long sleeve black blouse and a brown skirt. Teachers asked about it, and I simply shrugged saying I hate cold breeze on my skin.

A teacher got it from her neighbor. China Mang Gong Beng, peanut powder that melts in the mouth.

In class, I was kinda fed up with the lazy kids. How I wish my eyes can shoot laser and punish the kids without having to move my limbs.

It's my turn to duty in the canteen. When I see the standard 6 students, I can't help to roll my eyes. Arrogant bunch.

But the canteen food is something I look forward to every different weekday. This is Zhu Cheong Fan eggplant with meat patty.

Anyways, 4 teachers didn't come today. How I wish there are extra cash in taking places of absent teachers. I used 20 minutes to put two classes of brats in the library, and 4 minutes to read. What's the point in that?

The school new buliding is up. Once they've patched up the path, we'll have access to the new world.

After school I got to a photocopy shop nearby to pick up my copies. The shop owner is a kind lady who charges 4 cents for school materials. When she heard that I travel back and forth, she said 'loh meng'... and suggested registering to get my butt off Balakong. I tried to swallow that in, but the idea was spat out nonetheless.

As I reached the center, the kid was there all healthy and beaming. He had four ulcers though, lost 1 kg due to the high fever. But he still jokes around and brought laughter. I was glad of that, but me and mom admitted that we can't bare the sight of him for the moment. So we left early.

Mom got on with her Vios dream, saying how she longed for a financial freedom life. I can't help but feel guilty for not able to provide her better.

Fever is creeping up, as my tooth decay is getting severe.

Once I got back, I head straight to the gym. Today's class is BodyCombat. Quite uplifting cuz I can feel those adranalin bursting through the seams. A combination of Mui Thai, kickboxing, tai chi and taekwando with hyper beats.

Last but not least, Baby is flying off to Argentina for 13 days. He's checking in at this moment. Wish he'll have an awesome time... :)

In the mean time, I'll survive on his scent on the Hardrock t-shirt he left behind.
