Ironically I've been putting my house together, in my mind of course. Since it's holidays. :D
So it begins like this, as the master of my house I will first have a:
An upstairs like this. But a few amendments. There must be enough lights, such as balcony lights, or sky lights. Enough space. I would even demolish the rooms upstairs to create this look. Modern wooden flooring would be hefty for my budget, so normal waxed wood will do. Rid the red wall with intimidating message and switch into soothing/pastel colors. Rid the platform, but I would want a underfloor leg-space. Love the windows. That's why it has to be upstairs, so that when you open the balcony doors, it's a green sanctuary outside.
This would be the extension of the above interior. The sleeping corner would be blinded in some manner. Working space right after the sleeping space. All this, in one space. Also, I would do some color blending.
So, once you open the sliding doors of the balcony, it'll be something like this. But a few amendments. Chairs turned into rattan sofas with cushion. Dangling plants and greens. Pebbled floors. Bamboo blinds.
Then there's downstairs. When the night comes, there'll be dangling ceiling lights, although wall are up but the arrangement would be more or less like this.
Kitchen would be modulated into this. High chairs and talking space. Creates a distance and a closeness between hostess and guest, or mother and child.
Then there'll be two bedrooms downstairs. For two or three children. Or guests.
Where most importantly, there's a study/reading corner to rest the legs, drink coffee/wine and talk all day/all night. The ultimate corner. You know what they say, your home is your temple.
So there you go. My dream home. Where all the dreams are put together.
Anyways, I'd had a realization. Maybe after masters, I'd be interested in upgrading my career. A lecturer. After all, that IS my sole dream since young. Although my age is nearing 30, and I'm loving it.
