May you always have work for your hands to do. May your pocket hold always a coin or two. May the sun shine bright on your windowpane. May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain. May the hand of a friend always be near you. And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you. I hope you find contentment. Maybe not swiftly, but surely.

Popo

Since yesterday morning I was energetic because the holiday mood has finally caught up with me. Wee! Although I still have to be at tuition in school, I no longer have to worry about the dress code and less pupils to teach means less pressure.

However there is an unforgettable thing that happened to me when I was about to go for year6 tuition. The kids heard me coming, so one of them shouted loudly "大嘴巴来了!". I gave them a good scolding and finally one of them apologized. I was relieved I didn't smack someone or threw a kid out of the balcony at that moment.

After 4 sessions of tuition class I went straight to jj for my monthly facial appointment. This time the girl in charge has a better attitude towards me, since I'm her client, and gave me a free eyebrow shaping as well. I also went for a shopping spree, adding a pair of heels and 3 t-shirts for RM50. Yea I know I'm little spendthrift but sometimes shopping works wonders.

Weekends has always been great, as I fully appreciate Baby's companionship. He swung by on Saturday evening and we went to have dinner at Eng Ann with his family, celebrating the sister's birthday. At night we had a strawberry cheesecake, laughter and a series of good-willed jesting. We watched Prince of Persia while downing the last bit of Absolut Mango.

The next day we went to Baby's Popo's house for lunch. Popo is 10 years elder than my dad. She cooked a good meal and the family reunion was something I seldom see in my own, and I enjoyed the blissful scenery. Later we went back to Baby's house to have a delightful tea dessert, sweet potatos, homemade paos, coffee and cheese cakes.

But strangely after coffee I still slept like a log for 2 hours. Soon I got back to pack for tomorrow's handicraft project at mom's center. Mom has started to nag since yesterday since she's attending her radioactive therapy tomorrow and not able to show up for the holidays.

I also personally felt guilty for not able to be at the center earlier because of last minute calls of tuition at school. Mom must be thinking I'm just after the money rather than fulfilling an obligation. Fine, I told her, deduct my bloody wage.
